Abstract: When organizations and agencies invest in citizen science by acting as a hub -- an intentional connection point between scientists, projects and volunteers -- everyone wins. The University of Minnesota Extension citizen science team undertook an investigation to learn how we can help more organizations and agencies develop their potential as hubs. We’ll share our preliminary findings about what motivates hubs to connect a variety of audiences with multiple projects and what they may have in common. We want YOUR feedback on how a Center for Citizen Science can help build and strengthen these connection centers.
