Literature about Citizen Science:

  • Citizen Science: Theory & Practice is an open accesss, peer reviewed journal published on behalf of the Citizen Science Associaton. It aims to feature innovations and best practices in all aspects of citizen science.
  • Citizen Science Today (CST) is an experimental publication which highlights good writing and clear-sighted scholarship related to citizen science, wherever it may come from. Based on the model used by the wildly successful Digital Humanities Now, our team of editors-at-large select content to be broadcast to you, our audience. We try to keep an eye on where the broader conversation about citizen science is going, and are open to suggestion.

Bioblitzes

A bioblitz is a group event where participants, typically a mix of volunteers and professional scientists, find and record as many species as possible at a given place during a defined time period.  Many bioblitzes use iNaturalist to collect and store observations.
